Biohazard & trauma
After the authorities leave, someone still has to make the room safe.
That should not be the family. NOVA handles blood, decomposition, unattended death, and other biohazards with containment and discretion.

When to call
- Blood or bodily fluids on floors, furnishings, or vehicles.
- An unattended death, once the scene is released.
- Decomposition odor that has moved into adjacent rooms.
- Sharps, medical waste, or a tear-out that uncovered a hazard.
- A hoarded home where waste has become a biohazard, not just clutter.
If police, the medical examiner, or EMS are still on scene, we wait. Call us so we can be ready. We do not investigate, and we do not disturb anything they still need.
Contain
The affected area is sealed so the rest of the home is not cross-contaminated. Air is filtered.
Remove
Porous materials that cannot be disinfected come out. Sharps are handled as sharps, not as trash.
Restore
Surfaces are disinfected, odor is treated, and you receive a record of what was done.
Discretion is part of the job
Crews can arrive without signage. We do not discuss a call with neighbors. We do not use a family’s loss as a before-and-after post. Work follows OSHA bloodborne-pathogen practices, with HAZWOPER-trained standards on hazardous scenes.
